Vita

Nicolas Moore received a PhD in English Language from the University of Liverpool in 2010 for the thesis entitled Structuring Information in Written English. He received an MSc in Teaching English from Aston University in Birmingham in 1997. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in language teaching management, a Diploma in TEFL and a Certificate in TEFLA, all of which were awarded by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). Dr Moore received a BSc in Anthropology and Psychology from Goldsmiths College at the University of London in 1987. Dr Moore has worked in Brazil, Oman, Turkey and UAE and is currently a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where he is responsible for English language and teacher education modules. His teaching experience includes English language teaching in a wide range of contexts, English composition, linguistics, and teacher training. His main areas of research include ESL/EFL/EAL education, EAP, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, and Text Linguistics.
